Using Truckbase’s revolutionary technology, Truckbase SPS is designed to record the precise path taken by scarification equipment in a format that can be easily accessed and interpreted using Truckbase software.

Truckbase SPS allows the user to analyze the GPS information, measure treatment areas and process information for the subsequent contractor payment.

The Truckbase Onboard computer is easily installed on the scarification equipment. This GPS “black box” computer functions automatically, with no involvement required by the prime over operator. The unit becomes active as soon as the prime mover’s engine ignition is started.

During operation, the “black box” automatically records GPS time, longitude and latitude coordinates and speed on an interval set by the system administrator. The Truckbase Onboard Computer stops recording whenever the prime mover’s ignition is turned off.

The Truckbase Onboard Computer has the capacity to log data for up to a week, depending on the logging intervals used and the PC card storage size selected. Cards can be swapped out by a field supervisor and transported back to the woodlands office for differential correction and analysis by the Truckbase SPS software.
